Youth Alpha is designed for young people aged 11*-18**. The course has been run in schools and boarding schools, church youth groups, youth clubs, Catholic schools, parishes and Young Offenders Institutions. It is suitable for nearly any gathering of young people.

 

It is aimed primarily at those who would not call themselves Christians and many people have come to faith in Jesus for the first time through the Alpha course.

It can be used in many ways:

• as a tool for evangelism
• as a refresher course for renewing and deepening previous faith commitments
• as a lead-up to confirmation for church or school groups
• for systematic teaching about Christianity to Christian youth
• as a means of group building for young people already attending church or youth groups

* Based on our experience we wouldn’t recommend running it for children younger than 11.
