TWO weeks in ONE city. Bring CHANGE. Be CHANGED.
A lot can happen in two weeks. This summer we have a chance to see just how much. By going together to Durban in South Africa we can put our faith into action. We can serve the city and do something to help those who are living in desperate poverty. We can encourage the churches that are working tirelessly to change the injustice all around them by working alongside them. We can tell people about Jesus in our words and in our actions. Most of all we can allow God to change our hearts along the way.
There’s a Chinese proverb that we love:
I hear, I forget;
I see I remember
I do, I understand
And that’s what SOULINTHECITY Durban is all about.
As we step out, we will learn more about our world and God’s heart for it. We’ll be putting faces to issues we’ve heard about on the news like young people who have nowhere to live but the streets. Children dying from AIDS with no parents to look after and love them. Single parents with their children crammed into tiny shacks in townships.
SOULINTHECITY Durban is our chance to make a difference. To bring change to Durban and to have our hearts changed forever.
